2020 Harley-Davidson Pan America Adventure-Tourer – Often known to present the stocks cruiser, now Harley-Davidson will really present a motorcycle adventure. Even now it’s official if Harley-Davidson will be selling Pan America 1250 the year 2020 later.
Fixed with Harley-Davidson’s signature, the Pan America 1250 still features a V-twin Gambit engine and fixed design with HD features. Just look at the Fascia section which is still a condensed aura of the Harley-Davidson Road Glide box.

But to the stern and legs, it is clearly different. Its V-twin engine blends between the twin-spar chassis and are equipped with a radiator protector. Subframe alone looks crisp with a bars model similar to the KTM Duke series. Then glance at the legs, obviously wear rough tofu tires for the devoured off-road terrain.
Harley-Davidson is planning to build a motorcycle adventure-tour, dubbed Pan America. There are many ADV to unpack here, even considering we don’t know much about the machine as this story is airing, but first and foremost let’s start to Clap slow for the motor Company. Harley is a wildly successful brand, but it’s also well-known conservatives, only ever branching out from helicopter/Cruiser/Bobber Kingdom for a few moments in history, then rushing back to safety. This, along with other new models H-D has launched is a big problem.
A new 60-degree engine, for starters, replaces 1, 250cc and obviously uses Liquid-cooling and dual overhead Cams. The Pan America will share the machine with a low-slung 1250 Custom, which means we can expect the 1,250 engines to have a feel familiar with the big twin Harley; Heavy flywheel, a lot of torque.
That said, it would be a wise guess to assume some extra balancing amount inside the machine, considering this powerplant will likely be mounted more rigid with this new bike frame. The Exhauler looks great, although the exhaust collector is pretty obvious in front of the rear wheels. Ban Knobby will likely be available but, like many ADVs, road tires may be stock.

2020 Harley-Davidson Pan America Chassis
The chassis is a big enough departure for Harley, too, especially considering the purpose of the machine. A photo teaser in the promo video states the bike will “hit the ground” in 2020. In addition to the flat race track, this is a rare thing to do with Harley. There are a number of familiar ADV characteristics here — the eyebrow rear subframe, the aluminum Skid plate, the Brembo brake, and the drive chain. The frame uses the central part of the cast that binds the Swingarm and subframe with a large backbone, which in turn connects to the inverted fork.
Wrapped around a fork is a completely unique fairing, creating a blunt nose and a long, horizontal lamp. A three-part windshield will be adjusted, and knowing Harley, there will be many options.
Aftermarket accessories aside, America Pan obviously shares some ideals with other Harley models – specifically, the travel aspect. Even the name can be applied quite easily to other Touring models in the Harley family. But it’s basically where the similarity ends. The ergonomics divide the differences between what we are accustomed to seeing the big and familiar ADVs Harley touches. Seats are wide and flat as seats come, made for the logging of miles. The footpegs are in a reasonable place, and the range to the bar is neutral.
The Video also shows the bike jumping in the form of an early prototype. You might be wondering if Harley is able to make suspensions that can jump. Keep in mind, Harley-Davidson has a huge R&D operation, and if the resource is routed in the right direction, anything can be done. Vee 60-Degree will allow a little more ground clearance. Painful because it is possible to bring up, this is the same trick MoCo used on the Street series, but in order to lower the seat height.
2020 Harley-Davidson Pan America Competitions
Whether or not Pan America competes, practically, with a bike like Yamaha Super Ténéré or KTM 1290 Super Adventure remains to be seen. Most likely, it would hit a customer caught between BMW R1200GS and American V-Twin Tour Bike – whether it be Harley or Indian. This is something India does not offer and, for now, can not compete with. How many people love it or hate it up to you, people. With a bit of luck, this piercing into a cosmopolitan motorcycle company will remain.
