Last year Lexus introduced the IS 500 – a V8-powered sports sedan version. But fans wonder if Lexus plans to bring back the high-performance IS F.
A new rumor from the Japanese site Spyder 7 states that Lexus is gearing up to introduce a new IS F for the 2024 model year.

The IS 500 is powered by a 5.0-liter V8 with 472 horsepower and 395 pound-feet of torque. Rumors claim that the IS F will get the same engine, but with slightly more power, about 20 hp extra.
Lexus has yet to announce the new IS F, but it’s expected that if it returns, it will look similar to the IS 500. We can expect minor changes like a carbon fiber roof, a different hood with an air spoon, and other aero extras.

The overall look of this car is similar to the current IS500, so if it does become a reality, the ISF is unlikely to be completely different from the car we’re seeing now.
Several F Sport variants in the Lexus lineup in recent years include the RX, RC, IS, GS, and many more. The original IS F debuted in 2007 and lasted several years.
The F features a 5.0-liter V8. It gets 416 hp and 371 lb-ft of torque and a two-stage intake system.
The car’s engine and transmission oil systems are designed for cornering at high speeds, and the IS F clocks in 0-60 mph in 4.4 seconds while new.
Rumors about the new IS F are interesting, but tempering expectations is best. Lexus has switched from the V8 engine in most other vehicles, including the LX, and the LC is unlikely to get a high-performance F variant.
