2023 Ford Edge Release Date, Pricing

2023 Ford Edge Release Date

2023 Ford Edge – Ford will probably come with a large touchscreen to the Edge 2023. The new 12.0-inch display will be standard on every Edge model and even more significant than the optional 10.1-inch unit in the giant Explorer.

The vertically oriented portrait-style display runs the latest version of Ford’s infotainment software, called Sync 4A, which means improved graphics compared to the old Sync 3 system.

It offers wireless smartphone mirroring capabilities, which means you can connect your phone via Apple CarPlay or Android Auto via wi-fi rather than having to plug it in with a cable. There are also two new USB ports, including a USB-C port, bringing the total to four.

Other updates to Edge 2023 include a new wheel design and several new interior trim options. The new color includes two more shades of grey: Carbonized Grey and Lithium Grey.

Infotainment and Connectivity

Maximizing the functionality of infotainment settings is a new giant 12.0-inch touchscreen mounted to the Edge 2023 dashboard.

Large portrait-style displays are standard across the 2023 Edge model line and replace the 8.0-inch Edge 2020 unit. It also trades physical climate control for those on screen.

A wrong move, if you ask us, but one might be made (by those less concerned with intuitive climate control) with stunning screen size.

In addition, we have to spend time with Edge 2023 and its large infotainment screen before making complex judgments.

With the ability to virtually split the screen into more oversized, smaller windows, sync 4’s ergonomic functions may address the fact most — if not almost all — of edge climate control functions live on their touchscreens.

In addition to the infotainment function, Edge offers several other changes for 2023. Except for the addition of two USB ports for rear-seat passengers (one of which is the new model USB-C port) and some minor changes to the crossover trim and trim.

Feature list, Edge 2023 retains many of the same kits as its 2020 counterpart. These include its standard turbocharged four-cylinder engine and the available twin-turbo V-6 for the more performance-oriented Edge ST (ST-Line carries, too, for consumers who want an Edge ST display without a six-cylinder engine).

2023 Ford Edge Release Date and Price

Ford has yet to provide a price for the Edge 2023. However, we expect most of it to reflect the 2020 model, which starts at $32,345.

But trim levels will once again include SE, SEL, Titanium, ST-Line, and ST. The slim ST-Line was added for 2020, and the ape looks from the ST without performance upgrades. Expect Edge 2023 to reach Ford dealers in the next 2 Years.

2021 Ford Edge Models

The 2021 Ford Edge is a mid-sized crossover SUV that sits right in the middle of the Ford SUV lineup. Is escape too small and explorer three lines too big? Edge may be right for you.

For 2021, the Edge gets a bigger infotainment screen with the Ford Sync 4 infotainment system, the latest that automakers offer. It adds to Edge’s other positive attributes, such as spacious and luxurious interiors and pleasant performance.

2021 Ford Edge Competitors

Edge’s main rival is the Honda Passport. It’s spacious and comfortable and has high utility value thanks to its large cargo area and plenty of intelligent storage on the front.

We also love the versatile Kia Sorento and the stylish Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport. Among this group, Edge is a viable option but has drawbacks that make it not superior. Check out our Expert Ranking categories to learn more and gain our deep understanding of Edge 2021.

With a spacious cab, ample cargo capacity, and a robust Sync 3 infotainment system, Edge has a lot to offer midsize SUV buyers.

Some may find the ride a little jittery, and a fit-and-finish cabin at a higher trim level doesn’t quite match the almost luxury price tag. But overall, the Edge is a well-run car that earns its place among the top mainstream SUVs.
