2023 Ford F-250 Super Duty
2023 Ford F-250 – Ford Super Duty, F-250, F-350, or F-450—more trucks than most people need. But for those who need it, it’s very impressive.
There’s a trio of V-8 engines, with a 7.3-liter engine with 473 pound-feet of torque and a 6.7-liter diesel with 1,050 pound-feet.
2023 Ford F-250
The well-equipped Super Duty can attract up to 37,000 pounds and carry up to 7,850 pounds of payload.
While the serious rivals of the Ram offer higher torque and crane ratings, as well as better interiors, Ford’s most luxurious crew cabin models provide upscale environments and ample passenger space.
The Chevy Silverado HD and GMC Sierra HD have better driving manners, but the 2023 Super Duty features more high-tech and various driver assists.
2023 Ford F-250 Engine
The F-250 and F-350 come standard with 6.2-liter V-8 gasoline that produces 385 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque. While the basic six-speed transmission is automatic, most Super Duty has a 10-speed automatic transmission.
All powertrains are paired with rear or four-wheel drive, and all models can be equipped with more powerful engine options.
These include a gas-fired 7.3-liter V-8 engine that produces 430 horses and 475 pound-feet, as well as a powerful 6.7-liter V-8 Power Stroke diesel that produces 475 horses and an enormous 1,050-pound-feet of torque.
Super Duty also offers an off-road road package—called Tremor—that adds a slimmer lifting kit and tires along with other road-ready upgrades.
This heavy-duty Ford worked as expected by a large rig made to pull up to 19 tons. The ride will feel stiff and bouncy without charge, but the sensation will feel smooth when the bed is loaded, or the trailer is installed.
In addition, the most luxurious trim does a better job of dampening the wind and road noise on the highway. Still, all models—even models with optional adaptive steering that Ford says is “more connected and attractive”—have a heavy feeling on the highway exacerbated by feedback being disconnected from the steering wheel.
However, the truck we drive benefits from a strong, responsive brake pedal, and the steering can be set at low speeds and in tight spaces where maneuvering the longest models can be difficult.
Ford F-250 Towing and Payload Capacity
Super Duty has a wide range of towing capacity and maximum payload with various cabin configurations and cargo beds.
Each version offers great ratings in both categories. Still, Ford fans who want the most impressive numbers will appreciate that the strongest Super Duty can carry a payload of 7,850 pounds, pull up to 24,200 pounds with conventional trailer hitches, and carry an enormous 37,000 pounds. With a fifth wheel and gooseneck barrier.
2023 Ford F-250 Interior
Modes and functions live in harmony inside Super Duty, with an intelligent dashboard design and a handy layout.
Even the stripped-down super duty interior is an ergonomic environment with direct control and materials meant to be messy.
The process starts with Lariat level trims that introduce leather upholstery and high-end options such as ambient lighting, heated and refrigerated front seats, and wireless charging.
Then, get ready for king ranch, platinum, and premium limited to unlock features that other competitors don’t have (like massage chairs) and feel like royalty.
However, some chintzy parts make the interior even the coolest model. Buyers have two-bed size options (6.75 feet or an 8-foot box), but regular taxis can only be equipped with long boxes.
Super task’s many cubbies and versatile trays are highlighted by a large center console tray on the model with a bucket seat. The crew cabin takes storage one step further with a lockable box under the rear seat.
Xl’s basic model comes standard with a non-touchscreen for their infotainment system. Instead, the XLT has an 8.0-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Wi-Fi hotspots.
It can also be upgraded with a 10-speaker B&O stereo and SiriusXM satellite radio, which require a paid subscription after the first three months.
A large pair of volume and tuning buttons and other physical buttons on the steering wheel make the system feel intuitive.
The other range has a 12.0-inch touchscreen with Sync 4 software, including wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The larger cab can be equipped with enough accessory outlets to power a Guns N’ Roses concert, including up to two 110 volt power points.
2023 Ford F-250 Specs
The Super Duty line includes the F-250, F-350, and F-450. Super Duty trucks claim many of the best-in-class towing, hauling, and general performance statistics.
As I said before, the new Super Duty isn’t very new, mechanically – but no one asks for it. So it will still choose petrol and diesel engines: the 7.3-liter V8 produces 430 hp and 475 lb-ft of torque, and the 6.7-liter “Power Stroke” V8 produces 475 hp 1,050 lb-ft of torque.

The 6.2-liter V8 remains an option as well. Maximum towing capacity is 37,000 lbs with gooseneck hookup. With a standard five-wheel trailer, Super Duty can pull 32,500 lbs.
The overall look is still the same, but Ford has added some minor adjustments that modernize the truck’s look. Ford added bumpers and painted mirror caps that added a bit of flair to the business truck. Also, it has optional black wheels and black ovals. The blue oval can now be black.
2023 Ford F-250 Price
These heavy-duty trucks are expensive and often come with cab features to make them comfortable, but the ride is still rough.
The F-250, as tested by cr, costs about $70,000. In addition, since trucks are meant to tow and transport heavy loads, they must be equipped with shock absorbers and extra heavy-duty suspensions.
This is great when transporting gravel loads, but the heavy suspension turns into a jarring and hard ride for everyday use without load.
2021 Ford F-250 Super Duty Crew Cab
The F-250 is part of Ford’s line of F-Series trucks that have become one of America’s most popular vehicles, redesigned in 2017 and carried over into 2021 largely unchanged.
But the Ford Super Duty truck is far from alone in this class. The Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD and Ram 2500 have battled Super Duty trucks for years, and both offer more or less the same variety of configurations as Fords.
Ford F-250 Super Duty Models
The 2021 Ford F-250 Super Duty is available in six trim levels: XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum, and Limited. In addition, there are three cabin configurations — a standard cabin, an additional cabin (aka a SuperCab), and a crew cabin — that can be paired with a 6.8 or 8.2-footbed.
The F-250 Super Duty, depending on the configuration, is available with 3 powertrains:
- The 6.2-liter petrol V8 (385 horsepower, 430 lb-ft torque) paired with a six-speed automatic transmission
- The 7.3-liter (430 hp, 475 lb-ft) petrol V8 is paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission.
