2023 Ford Maverick – Ford revived Maverick’s name for his new small pickup truck and placed him into the lineup under a medium-sized Ranger.

Ford offers Maverick in three trims-XL, XLT, and Lariat-with XL being the best choice to keep prices as low as possible.
It lacks the basic creature comforts that most buyers consider necessary, but it would be good to use as a work truck. Using XLT adds 17-inch aluminum rims, cruise control, power lock for the truck body, powerful exterior mirrors, and more, making it a value-oriented model.
2023 Ford Maverick Engine
With the Bronco Sport turbocharged three-cylinder engine as the standard powertrain, Ford has switched to a hybrid with the Maverick base powertrain.
All trims will come standard with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder motor-assisted by an electric motor for the combined 191-hp.

Maverick offers a payload capacity of 1500 pounds and a towing capacity of 2000 pounds with a basic hybrid powertrain.

2023 Ford Maverick Interior
All Mavericks are crew cabins, which means the four doors are full-sized and look like a relatively airy back seat.
Ford has included plenty of storage space and trash throughout the Cabin, including some large areas under the back seat.
The basic model is far from luxurious but offers standard comforts such as tilt-and-telescoping steering wheels with audio controls, remote keyless entry, and adjustable lumbar support for the front seat.

Options include SiriusXM satellite radio, an improved B&O Play stereo system, and wireless smartphone charging capabilities.
Maverick will offer some driver assistance features, but many of the most sought-after items will require option packs or jumps for more expensive trim.

2023 Ford Maverick Specifications
Maverick is a unibody truck built on a crossover platform. This makes it less capable than traditional body-on-frame pickups, but it’s also cheaper to make and buy and more efficient.

Maverick FX4 features all-terrain tires, revised rear suspension, higher capacity radiators, upgraded cooling fan, skidplate, open front crane hooks, hitch with a four-pin connector, off-road drive mode, and control hill descents.
Mavericks front-wheel drive has a ground clearance of 8.3 inches, and the all-wheel-drive version has a distance of 8.6 inches.
The approach, break-over, and departure angles for Maverick are 20.6, 16.6, and 21.9 degrees for the front-drive version; Maverick’s AWD came in at 21.6, 18.1, and 21.2 degrees.

Prices for the Ford Maverick start at $21,490 for the entry-level Maverick XL. Ford hasn’t announced prices for the Maverick XLT, Maverick Lariat, or Maverick First Edition 2022 pickups alone.
