2024 Lexus LC 500: A Look To The Next Level of Luxury
2024 Lexus LC 500
The New Lexus LC 500 Reportedly, there are few changes for the 2024 model year, except for the addition of Cloudburst Grey’s exterior color option, which replaces the Smokey Granite hue.
Everything else is brought from previous model years, including a bold exterior design and a V-8 with a soulful sound and the right power to pair well with the LC500’s smooth, soft stance.

The 2024 LC 500 will also be offered as a coupe or convertible and a hybrid model. Under the hood is a standard 471-horsepower V8 engine. It’s potent and makes for an alluring soundtrack that will leave all amazed.
Like the LC 500, there are other luxury and convertible coupes to consider. The Porsche 911 is sportier, but the Lexus is still fun to drive and can survive on winding roads.
The recently redesigned Mercedes-Benz SL is an attractive roadster with a long heritage but is expensive. There is also a BMW 8 Series that is similar in size and is also offered as a coupe or convertible.
2024 Lexus LC 500 Engine
Power from the standard LC500 is a high-performance 5.0-liter V-8 engine from Lexus, which produces 471 horsepower and 398 pound-feet of torque.
Paired with just a fast-moving yet smooth 10-speed automatic transmission, it makes a majestic internal combustion rock ‘n’ roll that’s as pleasing to the ear as any other LC on the eyes.
Another powertrain on offer is the 354-hp gas-electric LC500hdrivetrain, which incorporates a 3.5-liter V-6, a pair of electric motors, a 1.1 kWh lithium-ion battery, and a unique variable continuous automatic transmission (CVT) that somewhat mimics its action from a 10-speed automatic.
There is minimal body roll and good balance on the Lexus handling, and the ride quality is excellent, considering the large 21-inch wheels used by our test car.
The variable steering and adaptive rear-wheel steering system included with the Performance package specifically improve LC steering speed and general car responsiveness.
But the standard chassis setup is better suited for the comfort of the car’s GT and feels more natural without hindering LC tactics.
2024 Lexus LC 500 Interior
The interior of the Lexus LC500 is a special place, with a good riding position, rich materials, exquisite craftsmanship, great front seats, and a lot of technology.
Some of its ergonomics can be fastidious in practice, but the overall ambiance is in keeping with the look of the LC concept car.
The fit-and-finish is excellent, and the optional sports seat is the actual spinal support throne. Certain elements require some acclimatization, including a funky one, the Toyota Prius–such as an electronic shifting lever.
The compact LC trunk and non-collapsible rear seats limit its storage space to 5 cubic feet, which is only enough to accommodate our two carry-on bags.
Although the LC cabin is this attractive, there is not much space to store loose items. The center console is reasonably sized, and the cover can be adjusted to open the second cup holder.
Safety Features
Key safety features include:
- Standard front collision warning and automatic emergency braking;
- Common adaptive cruise control and blind spot monitoring;
- Line departure alerts and line maintenance assistance are available;
Lexus LC 500 Comfort
The LC 500 suspension absorbs large bumps and minor imperfections on the road, even with the large 21-inch wheels attached to our test car.
There’s a good balance between sport and comfort, and the suspension protects the cabin from rough road surfaces without making the car feel disconnected from the pavement.
Depending on the road surface, we see some tire and wind noise at highway speed. Otherwise, the LC cabin is quiet and serene.
2024 Lexus LC 500 Price
Lexus LC starts at $93,450. The hybrid-powered LC 500h begins at $99,450, and the popular LC 500 Convertible starts at $101,500.
The LC is more expensive than the Chevrolet Corvette, more affordable than the Audi R8, and the price is similar to the BMW 8 Series, Jaguar F-Type, and entry-level Porsche 911.
