With V-4 technology and racing success, Honda designers gave the VFR1200X what is one of our most advanced street-bike engines yet: a liquid-cooled 1237cc, a 76-degree V-4 filled with low-end torque.
You can choose between a conventional six-speed manual transmission or our latest third-generation Honda Automatic DCT. You can do an upshift or downshift with a pair of paddle-style buttons, or you can let the gearbox shift for itself.
Honda’s Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) system is designed to help riders adapt to some traction conditions. Pressing VFR1200X’s (HSTC) button lets you choose from three levels of engine torque. Twin front brakes use large 310mm discs for a lot of fade-free stop power. Combined ABS is a standard feature. Drive the final VFR1200X shaft exactly the way you want in a bike designed to turn a few miles seriously.

KYB shocks on the VFR1200X rear suspension can be adjusted for rebound damping and feature a convenient toolless preload tuner making it easy to fine-tune travel for a variety of loads.
The final drive assembly runs right through the one-sided aluminum swingarm housing, making rear-wheel lifting fast.
With a 17-inch rear and a 19-inch front, the VFR1200X wheels are built to handle the hard arrest of pavements or dirt/gravel roads.
