2021 Yamaha Sidewinder L-TX SE Review
2021 Yamaha Sidewinder L-TX SE Review – Turbo Drive, a liter of three is unmatched when it comes to delivering exceptional power with improvement and the quality you come to expect from Yamaha. Designed around the Turbo Premium units, each component of the machine from the intake to the exhaust is dedicated to generating performance without compromise. Yamaha Turbo has been proven to have gained respect and reputation in accordance with the highest industry ever. This machine generates potent toxins in the bite Sidewinder L-TX SE.

The YSRC primary and roller grip secondary are calibrating for durable, cold operation. They utilize and transfer large torque generated by Genesis Turbo efficiently to the track while minimizing the wear of the drive belt. Main shifts out aggressively to use all the power in the press while the secondary Roller is fast to back-Shift and provides additional ratios through its large sheaves. The result is continuous acceleration after others have signed.
The integrated switch automatically closes the machine when the driver is not on the plane. Advanced New Roll Center Suspension (ARCS) features higher, high strength, forged shaft, and lightweight redesigned top A-Arms. Further geometry is revised to optimize suspension function while increasing ground clearance. This results in a larger bite with a slight roll of chassis for more predictable and consistent handling.
The dual shock rear suspension SR is the cumulative result of the year’s Punishment and development in snocross and cross-country competition. This lightweight suspension offers premium bumps according to the excellent durability for bottoming. Dual shock SR is a “merged ” Skid-frame that utilizes a unique “sliding ” front arm of the mountain with a half inch of movement in the front arm “slot “. This active arm design provides control (minus) ski lifts during acceleration while retaining the good size of independent front arm tracking. Solid rear axle layout with special idler wheel design and configuration provides great durability.
2021 Yamaha Sidewinder L-TX SE Specs
The Sidewinder L-TX SE gets Premium Fox Zero RC Front shock absorbers with adjustable Coil springs and various rebound and compression attenuation adjustments. These shocks include Fox FIST ice Scrapper technology, damping speed sensitive and high-quality hard chrome rods with an anodized T6 1.5 “body. The front-arm Skid frame obtains aluminum HPG 1.5 gas shock and back duty done by Beefier 2.0 aluminum shock HPG for fading free performance.
The nickel alloy turbine body is very strong and precise, able to withstand very high temperatures. Powered with Premium ball bearings, ceramic, Inconel turbine blade assembly is very light and powerful. This results in a low moment of inertia for lightning fast response to exhaust gas inputs. The three-body Throttle is used exclusively to further enhance the rapid delivery of compressed air from the impeller to the valve intake.
The Mitsubishi ECU, developed by Yamaha, uses a series of 9 sensors to collect data on the computer conditions that use a predefined ‘ map ‘ of memory. It then adjusts the ignition time, fuel delivery, air pressure manifold and increases Turbo pressure to produce maximum performance in any condition-reliably.
Yamaha wants a very fast engine to respond with little or no ‘ lag ‘ as it is found in conventional Turbo. One of the ways they achieve their goals is to develop an intake system using three separate throttle bodies positioned very close to the intake valve. Not just one meal of long intake tubes – something that is not noticeable in other Turbo production on the planet. And another first for Yamaha with Turbo event.
Unlike the conventional Turbo ‘ Blow-Off ‘ valve, Yamaha ABV redirects the air pressure back to the side of the compressor intake to prevent spikes and help maintain the impeller speed, always ready for subsequent acceleration with power delivery Smooth.
2021 Yamaha Sidewinder L-TX SE Engine
Engine coolant is circulated via turbochargers to control under-hood temperatures and helps cool intake loads. After turning off the engine, the convection energy generated by Super-heated Coolant in the Turbo head continues to circulate without the coolant pump operating. This eliminates the need for cooling cycle machines while retaining high durability in Turbo components.
The layout of the SRV chassis is engineered with the purpose of mass destruction. About 60 percent of the sled’s weight was concentrated strictly inside the main triangulation. The result is a quick, balanced Sled handling, it’s fun to toss around in a variety of conditions.
A front-end SRV geometry is aimed at managing Camber spindle, resulting in minimized lump-Steer and maximized bite-to-end cornering to give rider confidence in different trace conditions. The A-ARM is mounted at A 30-degree angle from the central line of the sled to efficiently eliminate impact forces across the chassis. Similarly, the front shock mounts directly to the leading Spar so that the force Trail is routed to the strongest part of the chassis. Wide A-ARM spaces minimize Flex and stress in the front suspension system, which means consistent and confident angle handling.
Yamaha Sidewinder L-TX SE Chassis
The SRV Chassis incorporates a load-bearing triangulation structure with a lightweight aluminum construction to create a balanced, neutral sleigh that focuses on riders. The upper frame of the pyramid creates the power of the chassis without excessive weight.
The latest version of the Yamaha Ski Tuner is lightweight and designed for precise handling response. Various carbide options can be combined to dial the tuner to fit the riding style. Interchangeable Ski Tips are available in a variety of colors for additional customization.
Post steering straight in the Sidewinder L-TX SE is configured through the engine. It connects to a single bell crank for simplicity and lightweight. The design also minimizes Free-Play in the steering system and provides a tight rotating radius.
Yamaha Sidewinder L-TX SE Features
The control Bar handle features a cluster left-hand switch that allows for ‘ on the fly ‘ access to multi-step hands and warmer thumb adjusters. The information available on multi-function meters can be easily selected with a convenient toggle switch and the Reverse Gear switch button is also located on the left-hand cluster. The right side of the bar is clean with ergonomic shaped and simple throttle lever, stand-alone emergency stop switches. A renewed Hayes Stealth cylinder brake equipped with a newly-suspended Stealth brake lever provides great modulation to feel better and stronger stopping performance.
The Sidewinder L-TX SE is a lightweight, two-piece, tapered tunnel giving you strength for a long-term and tapered “Fit ” to enhance foot comfort and overall bullish position. The reinforced board running punches with aggressive boot hold serrations and offers excellent snow evacuation to keep your feet planted where you want them.

Like all Snowmobiles powered Yamaha 4-stroke, there is no need to draw a string to bring the live machine. Easy starting power is achieved through simply mounted handlebars, friendly gloves, push button switches. Convenient handlebar positions make shifting to and from easily reversed just by tapping your thumb. A servo motor longer drivetrain shift to a simple and consistent reverse. An audible warning Spane reminds you when you are still in reverse.
